Meet Dr. RochefordThe Minneapolis-St. Paul BOTOX treatment is a very quick outpatient procedure that can be done in as little as 15 minutes. When you arrive for your appointment, the treatment area will be thoroughly cleansed before the BOTOC is injected. Injections are made using a fine gauge needle and feel like a quick pinch. To ensure you are comfortable during the procedure a topical numbing cream can be applied at your request.
The results will not be visible until 2 – 7 days following treatment. The effects last approximately 3 – 5 months and treatments are usually repeated when your muscle activity returns. Immediately following treatment, you will be asked to abstain from engaging in any strenuous activity. You will also be advised not to lie on the treatment area for at least 4 hours. This is to prevent product migration and ensure you receive the results you desire. Signs of facial aging begin in the thirties. Common areas include the forehead, frown lines, and crow’s feet. These areas can all be treated with either BOTOX or Dysport. These medicines will stop the muscles from creating those wrinkles. The goal is to minimize lines and shadows on the face and restore smooth skin, not overdo things.
