Breast Procedure

This is a 38-year-old professional from Minneapolis, Minnesota woman who was seen in consultation for breast reduction. She is bothered by not only the large size of her breast but has symptoms including neck pain, back pain, shoulder pain, and rashes underneath the breasts. She is particularly bothered in the summertime with the heat and finds it quite difficult to exercise as a result of her large and heavy breasts. She underwent a breast reduction. During the procedure, she had 483 g removed on the right and 490 g on the left. Postoperatively, she did very well and she went from a 38DDD bra preoperatively to a 38C or D bra depending on the manufacturer. She has recently embarked on a new exercise program and feels very happy with her appearance.

This patient is a 21-year-old young lady from Hudson, Wisconsin who was seen for breast reduction surgery. She has significant back, neck and shoulder pain and is significantly limited in her ability to perform gymnatics and in other athletics due to the large size of her breasts. She proceeded with breast reduction. At the time of her surgery, she had 667 g removed on the right and 596 g removed on the left. Postoperatively, she was very pleased with her result. Her preoperative bra size was 36DDD. Postoperatively, the patient went down to a 36B or 34C cup bra. She was feeling much better postoperatively in terms of her back, neck and shoudler pain and was very happy to fit into her sports clothing and participate in athletics without pain or embarrasment.

This is a 69-year-old woman from Eden Prairie, Minnesota who was interested in a breast reduction and also an abdominoplasty. She had a long history of back, neck, and shoulder pain. She was unhappy with the size of her breasts. She wears a size 38DD bra. Her interest was in a breast reduction to approximately a C cup and then an abdominoplasty. The patient underwent a breast reduction and abdominoplasty. At the time of her breast reduction, she had 542 g removed from the right breast and 549 g removed from the left breast. Postoperatively, the patient was very pleased with the size of her new breasts. She had significant reduction in back, neck, and shoulder pain and she was able to wear a 38C bra postoperatively down from a 38DD.

This is a 32-year-old female who was interested in breast lift. She was very unhappy with her breast appearance after nursing her children. She underwent a breast lift procedure. Postoperatively, she was very pleased with the contour of her breast. She was able to wear tank tops and sundresses without a bra.

This is a 43-year-old woman from Woodbury, Minnesota who is interested in breast revision. She had previously had implants placed. Subsequent to the placement of her implant, she had two pregnancies and a significant weight loss. As a result, she developed significant droop and felt that her breasts were not in line with how she felt about herself. She underwent bilateral breast implant removal and replacement along with breast lift. Postoperatively, she is very happy with her results. Her previous implants had been 430 cc on the left and 485 cc on the right. At the time of her surgery, she opted for a smaller implant with the 270 cc implant on the right and a 210 cc on the left. She is very happy with her lifted and small look. She felt it was more appropriate for her frame and made it easier for her to workout.

This is a 39-year-old woman from Cottage Grove, Minnesota who had lost 70 pounds through diet and exercise. She was interested in breast lift and augmentation. She underwent breast augmentation with 350 cc saline implants filled to 400 cc. She also underwent a lift. Postoperatively, she was wearing a 36D bra. She was very happy with her result.

This is a 49-year-old woman who was interested in breast lift and augmentation. Prior to surgery, she was wearing a 38D bra but did not feel secure in her bra. She felt that her breast often was not stable inside the bra. She underwent a breast lift and augmentation. At the time of her augmentation, she had 300 cc silicone gel Moderate Plus implants placed. These were placed in the submuscular position. Postoperatively, she was wearing a 36D bra but filling it out completely and was very happy with the new position of her nipple-areolar complexes.

This patient is a 25-year-old woman from Cottage Grove, Minnesota who was interested in a breast lift and augmentation. She had a size 275-cc implant placed in the submuscular position. She went from wearing a 34B to a 34D bra postoperatively. She is very happy with her new fuller figure.

Kim is a 50-year-old female from Coon Rapids, Minnesota who was interested in breast lift. Prior to her surgery, she was wearing a 40DD bra. She did say that she was interested in having her breast made a little bit smaller at the time of her lift. At the time of her surgery, she did have approximately 387 g resected from the right and 246 g resected from the left. This gave her a much more pleasing breast contour and size for the patient. She was very happy postoperatively with her result. She went from a DD down to a D and depending on the bra manufacturer sometimes a C cup bra. She is very happy in clothing and out of clothing and in a swimsuit.

This patient is 57 years old and is bothered by the droopy appearance of her breasts. She feels happy with her appearance in a bra but feels very self-conscious when she takes off her bra and is also self-conscious about the size of her areola. The patient underwent breast lift using the standard Wise pattern. The incisions ended up around her areola, underneath the breast, and a small vertical incision. Postoperatively, she was very happy with her result. She notes that she is able to wear a bra without constantly falling out of it. She was happy with her size prior to the surgery and is happy with her size now and her ability to fit into a bra without fear of falling out of it due to excess skin.
