This is a 57-year-old female who was concerned regarding her upper and lower eyelid appearance. She was feeling that she looked tired in the mirror and was getting comments from friends and coworkers regarding her tired appearance and she was interested in a natural-appearing rejuvenation of her upper and lower eyelids. She underwent upper and lower lid blepharoplasty and postoperatively, she was very pleased with her result. Friends and coworkers no longer commented on her tired appearance. She was very exited to begin wearing eye shadow and mascara for the first time in years. Prior to her surgery, she had been unable to wear eye shadow and mascara because the eye shadow would simply rub off because of the friction of her eyelids and her eyelashes would rub on her upper eyelid skin and causing the mascara to rub off. She feels very confident in her appearance and is very pleased with her overall result.
